Compost alters soil structure, making it less likely to erode
Process
We mainly use two sources to produce our organic products. One is the "chachaza" generated by the Ingenio Tamazula, a sugar cane factory. The "cachaza," or sugar cane waste, is very rich in nutrients as it is composed of carbohydrates (58%) and proteins (11%). The second source is the waste generated by Red Californian worms. By combining these two sources we are able to produce organic fertilizers of a very high quality.
Compost
Our compost is generated from the mixture of sugar cane waste and liquid humus generated by Red California worms. The process of creating compost takes more than 90 days, and it is ready to be used when it reaches a humidity of 30%.
Solid humus
Our solid humus is generated by feeding our worms with the "cachaza." The worms are removed from their waste, and the humus is dehydrated until it only has a humidity of 40%. It is that that point when this humus can be sold and used as organic fertilizer.
Liquid Humus
The creation of liquid humus goes through a similar process as the creation of solid humus. To generate liquid humus the worms are fed with "cachaza" and their waste is enriched with solid humus.
